Understanding Your Total

Your booking total includes:

When You’re Charged

  • At Booking: Full payment is collected when you complete your booking
  • Security Deposits: If applicable, authorized (not charged) at booking and released after checkout

Receipts and Invoices

Access your payment records:

  1. Go to My Trips > Select your booking
  2. Click Receipt to download your receipt
  3. Receipts include all charges and applicable taxes

Refunds

Note: Actual refund timing depends on your payment method and financial institution.

Refund Amounts

Refund amounts depend on:

  1. The property’s cancellation policy
  2. When you cancel relative to check-in date
  3. The service fee policy (may be non-refundable)

Payment Issues

Card Declined

If your card is declined:

  1. Verify your card details are correct
  2. Ensure sufficient funds/credit are available
  3. Contact your bank if issues persist
  4. Try an alternative payment method

Disputed Charges

If you believe you were charged incorrectly:

  1. Review your receipt in My Trips
  2. Contact the host to discuss
  3. If unresolved, contact MyGoodRental support

Security

We take payment security seriously:

  • All transactions are encrypted (SSL/TLS)
  • We never store your full card number
  • Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor
  • Two-factor authentication available for your account
